GLB & Associates has assisted several corporations with company wide IT implementation’s and resulting business process improvements, each of which focused on their unique business requirements including:
- Established an IT strategy and selected and integrated warehouse management system for a 13-plant manufacturer of plastic containers (PET and HDPE) for large consumer products companies.
- Implementation of cost management practices and systems for American Roller Company on behalf of CM Acquisitions, an acquirer of middle market manufacturing companies.
- IT strategy development, selection and implementation of an enterprise wide insurance system for a property and casualty insurance company writing 3 lines of business in three states,)
- Global Manufacturing Rationalization and IT strategy development and implementation for APVplc (now Invensys), a $1.6 billion manufacturer of food process equipment which resulted in plant consolidations and a 50% reduction in overhead including implementation of Cincom/Control.
- Conducted a plant evaluation/automation project for the Vigoro Corporation (now IMC Global), a $2 billion fertilizer company, which involved the merging of several acquired companies to reduce overhead and improve plant productivity through automation. The new division was subsequently sold.
- Re-Implemented an ERP system and a Manufacturing Execution System to improve productivity and to provide accurate cost information for quoting purposes. Also developed and implemented an electronic quoting and routing system and an e-commerce strategy for the corporate gifts division of The Georgia Nut Company.
- Developed and implemented policies, procedures, practices and (ERP) systems from start-up through divestiture .for Boca Burger Incorporated, including the ramp up of a new facility in Hobbs, New Mexico. Boca was recently sold to Kraft Foods
- Developed and Implemented a business strategy to re-focus resources on initiatives which capitalized on in-house expertise and e-market opportunities for Millennium Technologies. (www.healthlinks.com).
- Assisted with the design and selection of computer technology, including ERP, WMS and CTI, to support a state of the art distribution center to serve the grocery home direct marketplace for Scotty’s Home Market was subsequently sold to Streamline.
- Implemented business systems (ERP) , practices, and integrated MES systems to facilitate the transition from a company owned facility to an employee owned business (ESOP), for Lake Shore Frozen Foods, a donut maker for the food service industry (now Maple Donuts).
- Developed and implemented a company wide, process improvement strategy to employ ECR/CRM principles at Oil-Dri Corporation of America specifically related to inventory and cost management.
- Assisted in due diligence and the identification of several critical issues for Starwood capital’s acquisition of govolution (www.govolution.com).
